Faith-Rest Drill

Before you begin learning about God's word, you need to remember if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, to be sure you have named your sins to God the Father in prayer.  This is REBOUND.  Rebound allows God the Holy Spirit to guide and teach you.  If you are not a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ please go to SALVATION before you start.


FAITH is believing in what you cannot see.  You trust God, because of Who He is (read about his Essence) and you know that His word , is true.  You have FAITH in the following five things.   

1.      FAITH that Jesus Christ went to the cross and you are saved.

2.      FAITH that God has a plan for your life.

3.      FAITH that Jesus Christ went to the cross so you could be in God’s plan.

4.      FAITH that when you sin and then you REBOUND (tell God your sin) . . . you are back in God’s plan.

5.      FAITH that there is a Heaven and IF you live in God's Plan, you know you will have treasures awaiting for you in Heaven.

Now it is time to understand and to learn to apply the ‘Faith Rest Drill’.  Remember you trust God and all of the promises He has given you in the .  God gives and keeps His word to you.  God has given us the that is filled with thousands and thousands of promises for you.  You need to place these promises in a 'Box'.

God knows and understands your problems.  Everyone has problems.  Problems come in all shapes and sizes.  Some are tiny, small problems that prick you like a pin, and some problems are really big and very difficult and they stab you like a knife.  God knows and understands all the sizes of your problems and He knows what you need to learn to do to solve these problems.  God gave you promises for your ‘Promise Box’.

God wants you to use these promises when you have any problem.   This can be the problem of fear, a problem with brothers or sisters, or a problem with other friends. 

Using these promises is the first step in the ‘Faith Rest Drill’.  God’s promises are for you to use any time with any problem you have in your life.  Let God’s promise take care of your problem.  This is called resting in God.  You trust God, because of faith.  Now you have the first step of the ‘Faith Rest Drill’.  You learn a promise from your ‘Promise Box’and use the promise for your very own problem!

Your ‘Promise Box’ is full of the promises God has given to you to claim and to use anytime and with any problem. Now you think how will God solve the problem?   You trust God to solve the problem.  The final step happens the instant you believe God will solve the problem.  Jesus Christ is in control, and the problem is behind you.  Forget the problem and move on in God’s plan. 

 

This is how the ‘Faith Rest Drill’ works.

1.      When you have a problem you take a promise out of your ‘Promise Box’.

2.      You think about and claim the promise & believe it.  You know God will solve the problem. 

3.      Jesus Christ is in control.  Relax, do not think about the problem any more.  Move on in God’s plan.

STEPS TO THE FAITH REST DRILL

STEP 1  Have complete ‘Faith’ that God will do what He says.  

STEP 2  ‘Rest’ in God (this means you believe God's promises and now you can trust God and be free from worries and fears)

STEP 3  ‘Drill’ . . . .to drill yourself, you must do it over and over and over, so you know it by heart. 

God instructs you to learn and claim His promises because God wants you to to be happy and content and free from your problems!

Now, when you have a problem you know what to do.  You use the three steps of the ‘Faith Rest Drill’
